Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale filed for divorce in Los Angeles, on Monday, August 3, confirmed court official to Radar Online. The musician couple will file for divorce after nearly 13 years of marriage.
The source reported that Stefani and Rossdale, who married in 2002, were spotted together for the last time in July, while they were out for lunch along with their three sons.
“It’s a miracle that we could stay together this long,” Stefani confessed to Cosmopolitan Magazine, earlier in February. She also added that both the people in a relationship should have their own individuality and should be themselves in order to make their relationship smooth and long-lasting.
Earlier in 2014, Radar Online reported that the couple had been fighting as Stefani felt that Rossdale was intruding too much on her professional space. She was devastated that her husband joined her on the Singing Talent Show “The Voice.”
According to Rolling Stone, the pair allegedly “filed divorce documents at the same time.” In the divorce document, “The Voice” star stated the reason for their split as “irreconcilable differences.” Sources also reported that both of them are claiming for joint custody of their three sons – 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma, and 17-month-old Apollo.
Stefani stated that she and husband have mutually agreed to terminate their marriage, the longtime “No Doubt” singer exclusively told US Weekly. She even added that they would still take care of their three children jointly even though they would no longer stay as married couple.
