Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye has finally opened up about her plagiarism controversy and says sorry.

Yoon Eun Hye and her plagiarism controversy are one of the most searched issues in Korea and China as she allegedly copied two of her winning designs from well-known brands.

According to KDrama Stars, Yoon apologizes for her plagiarism scandal in her recent appearance, when she attended a fashion event with Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr, last December 11 at the Lotte Department Store in Seoul for Samantha Thavasa, after being tight-lipped for a very long time.

It was the actress’ first-ever public appearance after being part of a Chinese fashion program named “The Goddess’ New Outfit” where the controversy started.

The site reported that the controversy was all about the actress’ alleged copied creation that she made for the TV program. The said plagiarized designs were similar to two of the most popular fashion brands in the industry.

The viewers and other fans noticed the alleged similarities of Yoon’s winning designs, one was from 2015 Dolce Gabbana dress and BCBG MAXAZRIA design and the other was from a local designer Yoon Choon-ho’s label Arche.

The show where Yoon was tapped to be part has a format similar to America’s “Project Runway” where one should make their own design for a well-known personality. Meanwhile, in the Chinese version of the dhow, professional designers were a team with celebrities and Yoon was one of them.

However, as the show went on, some of Yoon’s designs seemed to be not original compared to the other contestants that’s why a lot of fans reacted and accused her plagiarizing a creation.

Despite the allegations, Yoon remained silent until she released a statement through her agency J Army Entertainment, two days after the initial claim.

Asia One reported that Yoon insisted that she did not copy the design, contrary to what the designer claim. The actress argued that she was used by the designer for a public stunt, which only created further outrage from fans.

In her recent appearance, Yoon said she’s sorry for causing the trouble and bowed down that she will work hard and do her best.

“I appreciate people who have supported me,” Yoon said.
