This article contains spoilers for “Hannibal.” Read on for more details.
“Hannibal” will be back with all new episodes for season 3 on June 4 on NBC. The last episode left fans with a cliffhanger in the season 2 finale of the crime and psychological thriller series. Some fans were left wondering if Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) killed off Jack Crawford, Alana Bloom and Will Graham, as Hannibal sets off to Europe with Bedelia.
Now, it looks like we will be seeing more of Hannibal and his right hand man (or woman in this case), Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson). According to the synopsis for the premier episode of “Hannibal” titled, “Antipasto,” Hannibal Lecter will be living his life using a new identity in Europe with Bedelia in tow.
“But Dr. Lecter’s old habits and opulent tastes are still on display as he settles into a new identity and life in Florence, Italy, working at the Palazzo Capponi museum,” the synopsis reads, according to Screen Crush.
The synopsis also hints that the show will have a series of flashbacks, as it will dig deeper into the shared history between Bedelia and Hannibal, and whether the former is Hannibal’s friend or enemy. Episode 1 will also see guest stars Jeremy Crutchley, Tom Wisdom and Eddie Izzard.
Meanwhile, Carter Matt also revealed that Zachary Quinto will also appear in the first episode of “Hannibal.” The outlet also cited that the premiere episode will reveal whether or not the “cliffhanger characters” from season two remain alive, as there has been no reports on the actors reprising their respective roles for season 3.
