Last September 2013, Warner Bros. announced that there would be a Harry Potter spin-off titled, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and J.K Rowling would be the screenwriter. Over the months, J.K Rowling keep mum about this issue and only small details were revealed. However, good news Rowling fans because now we have a better idea of what the whole plan is. Are you ready for this? According to a New York Times‘ profile on Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is planned as a trilogy.

In 2011 , the cast of Harry Potter and Rowling herself hung up their robes with the last installment of the epic Harry Potter series, which is the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.” Now that a batch of magical movies would be released in the very near future, we are going to see more magical creatures and beasts, but the Harry Potter trio wouldn’t be there… unless Rowling finds a way for them to be there because she’s actually thinking about it! HP fans are keeping their fingers crossed!

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is before Harry Potter. It will focus on the life of Newt Scamander, the author of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which was a textbook that Harry Potter used at Hogwarts. The book was actually published by Rowling as a fundraiser for the British charity Comic Relief, which raised millions.

IGN reported that the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” trilogy are to be set in New York 70 years ago before the Harry Potter series.

Rowling also clarified in an MTV report that “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is not a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, “but an extension of the wizarding world.”

Unfortunately, the other details of the movie are hiding beneath an invisibility cloak!

Speaking of fantastic beasts, fans might see some familiar magical creatures such as hippogriffs like Buckbeak, billywigs and glumbumbles.

This is such wonderful news for the Harry Potter fans out there and they are thrilled. What do we say, it’s as if we all have gotten a dose of Felix Felicis and just got lucky!

Just like magic, Rowling never fails to enchant us with her wonderful creations and this time around, she’s about to put magic in our lives and in our hearts once again.
