“The Simpsons” Harry Shearer is set to come back to the show! Read on for more details.
According to Mirror Online, Shearer is the voice behind “Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers, Otto and Principle Skinner,”but he was ready to walk away from the series when a deal was not reached. Fortunately, though, it looks like that deal is met after all as he confirmed that he’s going back to the series.
In fact, we learned about the sad news when Shearer took to Twitter to express his emotion regarding the first deal, “This because I wanted what we’ve always had: the freedom to do other work (sic).”
This tweet somehow gave off that feeling that his departure has been a long time coming.
Shearer has been with the show since 1989. He also tweeted thanking fans for the support over the years.
Thanks, Simpsons fans, for your support.

Fox just recently renewed the show for two more seasons until 2017 and the rest of the cast just signed up two-year extensions such as Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavener, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria.
James L. Brooks appealed the actor’s decision to leave the show. He suggested to negotiate the contract and the deal was confirmed a few days ago providing Shearer $30,000 per episode. However, Shearer was quick to deny that it wasn’t a money issue. It means that there might be other reasons why he was determined to leave the show a few weeks ago.
Whatever it is, we’re happy that Burns is back! It wouldn’t be the same without him!
Al Jean, the showrunner, tweeted, “truly glad he is returning to the show.”
