“One Direction” (1D) band member Harry Styles was attacked with online death threats before MetLife concert, and the One Direction fans freaked out over this. Read on for more details.
On July 14, “#HarryBeCareful” was one of the trending topics on Twitter. It was after Styles’ death threat was tweeted, previously reported Gossip Cop. Derek, a Twitter user, tweeted that he has created his account to bring to the notice of everyone that Styles would die on August 5, at the MetLife stadium. Even after the user’s Twitter handles were suspended, the user continued to write that a stupid alert like “#HarryBeCareful” would not stop Styles’ fate.
“#HarryBeCareful” became once again trending on the said date as the boy band performed at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, reported the source.
While many of the 1D fans freaked out about the tweet, some fans believed that the death threat was just a stupid rumor that would have been made for attracting attention. In fact, it is a stupid thing to believe that a murder plan is pre-announced, as what @rejxtmuke wrote on Twitter.
However, all fans were not able ignore the death threat just as a joke. @arabelllazjm pleaded Styles to look after himself carefully, while @94hypnotiches tweeted that he was awake until he realized that Styles was safe on Metlife Stadium. @Ethan_W5 tweeted that he was so anxious and scared for about 5 hours until the One Direction members were at the MetLife Stadium.
The famous group normally has security at every performance. It is not clear whether any extra security was provided for Styles and the other One Direction members at the MetLife concert. However, fans posted photos of the allegedly “extra” security at the show.
Styles has not faced any problems at the MetLife concert, and the One Direction has successfully made their performance. The death threat was just a stupid rumor!
