In the latest episode of “Haven” Season 5, Episode 5 “The Old Switcheroo: Part 1,” a lot of “switching” happened, and Mara was now aware of Audrey’s presence. If you missed this episode, read the recap below.
Breaking Mara for Audrey to come out is becoming more difficult now that Mara knows about Audrey’s presence. This meant that Audrey’s chances of talking to Nathan and Duke are slim. Of course, Nathan came up with something — she gave Mara a case because Audrey loves cases, and she loves doing it. Mara was unaware of this so Audrey might just resurface again.
Having a lead on Dave’s adoption file, Vince was in Manteo, and then suddenly he morphed into Dave while Dave morphed into him. Dave was upset when he woke up to be in Vince’s body, especially that Vince was on a mission without him, so he went to North Carolina alone. It turned out that the address that they were getting to leads to the Duhans, and Vince met Allison Duhan who lied about knowing about Haven, Maine. This prompted him to dig deeper and found a phone number on Allison’s desk for the Freddy Psychiatric Hospital in Haven with a patient named Jeffrey Duhan.
Jeffrey was the one causing the trouble for Vince, while Nathan has figured out that two people who are keeping secrets from each other will switch bodies because just how the trouble goes. If one dies, the other dies as well. Another switch happened, and this time it was Dwight and Gloria, which means that there is a secret between them that they don’t want each other to know until Vicki came with a package from Cincinnati for Gloria.
Finally, Audrey was able to resurface, and she was doing some investigation on the switching trouble. However, she asked Duke not to take her the next day. Nathan agreed and left to solve the trouble. The next day, Duke took a different approach on handling Mara for Audrey to resurface, and he started talking about Audrey and Colorado, and it was a success because Audrey came out again. They had a nice chat about Colorado until Audrey hit a sensitive topic when she asked him why he pulled away during the kiss. However, before he could answer, he switched into Nathan, and Nathan switched into him.
Audrey, oblivious, asked Duke again about the kiss, and the secret’s out. Nathan wasn’t thrilled about it. Duke then told Nathan that that wasn’t really Audrey, but it was only Mara pretending to be Audrey because she knew about the plan all along. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Duhan was on the run.
