“Hawaii Five-0” Season 5 Episode 22 “Ho’amoano (Chasing Yesterday)” aired last Friday, April 24, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. In this episode, Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin), Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride) and Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) investigated the murder of a teenaged waitress after she was found dead in the hotel room of three hung over middle aged accountants. Meanwhile, Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia) discovered a trafficking ring after he decided ti play the hero while making a delivery for Kamekona (Taylor Wily). Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode began in a trashed hotel room, with beer bottles all over. Inside, three middle aged accountants, woke up with no recollection of what had happened the previous night as they had been drunk. After Jake Lockhard (Pauly Shore) discovered the body of a dead teenage girl in their bath tub, they decided to bury the body, which alerted a park ranger, who called in the police, who turned them over to Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin), Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride) and Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan).
Meanwhile, while making a delivery for Kamekona (Taylor Wily), Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia), decided to follow a car after he witnessed a man abducting a woman into it. After calling Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) and Detective Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim), they discovered that the man who had abducted the woman, William Malo, was dead.
At the precinct, after they were interrogated, it was discovered that they had decided to come on vacation to Hawaii, and that they had kept their wedding rings in the hotel room’s safe, as they planned to crazy that night.
Meanwhile, Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka) informed Lou that the victim had defensive wounds, and that she had put up a fight against whoever had killed her. He also informed them that the girl had no drugs or alcohol in her system, but the men were loaded, which meant that they were telling the truth.
Meanwhile, after Jerry described the abducted woman to a sketch artist, they discovered that the woman was Natalie Morris who was on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for Sex Trafficking and Kidnapping.
In order to trace the steps of the men that previous night, Steve and Danny first went ot the Sand Fiddler, and then to a bar called The Fix, where the bouncer had punched Nolan Fremont (Jaleel White) in order to get them out. Afterwards, Jake had gotten a fire dancers torch, which hit his head, which was why his hair had gotten burnt off. Afterwards, Lou called Steve and Danny over after discovering that the victim had glitter as she had been at the Glitter Ball Pit, where Mickey Dickson (Kevin P. Farley), had jumped in and found a bikini.
Meanwhile, back at the Task Force Headquarters, Chin Ho discovered that their victim, Malo, had been Natalie’s co-conspirator, and had kidnapped her as she had become a liability to their operation of luring Latin American girls to the United States, as Natalie had been featured in an episode which talked about FBI fugitives.
After discovering that the victim, Rebecca Oleana (Katie Kloss) had worked at the Ball Pit, they went over to her apartment, where they discovered that she was about to meet her biological father, who was terminally ill with cancer, who had had an affair with her mother twenty years ago.
Meanwhile, Chin Ho and Kono went to Hawa’I Island, where Malo’s Island Spirit Coffee Farm was, and discovered that they had been running a slave labor camp. At the harbor, they managed to shoot down Natalie.
After reviewing the footage of Glitter Ball Pit, they discovered that Raymond Garvey (Todd Robert Anderson), the legitimate son and heir of Mr. Garvey, Rebecca’s father, had been at the bar in order to talk her out of meeting their father. However, as she had refused, he followed her as she ducked into the three men’s hotel room, as they had given her a key card, where they struggled and where he had shot her in the temple.
Lou then dropped the three men at the airport and told them never to come back to Hawaii.
Meanwhile, Chin Ho showed Steve the pictures of Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale) that Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean) had left for him.
Afterwards, Jerry finally got his badge as he was rewarded with the Civilian Medal of Valor for helping catch Natalie.
