Hawaii Five-0” Season 5 Episode 21 “Ua Helele’i Ka Hoku (Fallen Star)” aired last Friday, Apr. 10, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. In this episode, several old faces come back in play as the Five-0 Task Force investigated the murder of an Elvis Presley impersonator at an Elvis Convention, which Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia) and Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka) attended. Meanwhile, Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) was stalked by his fugitive brother-in-law, Gabriel Waincroft (Sean Christopher). Read on to learn more about this episode.

Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia) and Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka) attended an Elvis Presley Convention. They cheered on Lane Collins (Peter Dobson), an Elvis Tribute Actor who was the favorite to win the competition as the best impersonator. However, during his rendition of “Burning Love,” he collapsed on the stage.

The next morning, Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) picked up Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride) from the airport. She learned that he had brought home ten deep dish pizzas for his family in his suitcase. His old friends and the mistress of Clay Maxwell (Mykelti Williamson), had been no help in his quest to search for more evidence that Clay had murdered his own wife recently- a case that Lou took personally.

They then headed to the hotel where the convention was being held. They learned that Collins had died of cyanide poisoning which had been injected into his bourbon.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Detective Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) got ready to leave the Task Force Headquarters. He was surprised to see a glimpse of his fugitive brother-in-law, Gabriel Waincroft (Sean Christopher). However, when he tried to chase him down, Gabriel had disappeared. This led Chin Ho’s cousin, Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) to be worried about his safety.

Because of this, the Task Force questioned all of the Elvi in the building, including Jerry. They all had access to the dressing rooms before the show. Jerry also told them that he believed that a conspiracy was going on as Collins, a seasoned veteran in the Elvis Tribute Actor circuit, had been wearing a costume with a design that Elvis himself had never worn.

After questioning the Elvi, they discovered that Collins had been the frontman of a band called Freelance Riot. It had been a big hit in 2006 and had only disbanded a few months ago.

They then paid a visit to Kaleo Fisher (Evan Gamble), the band’s guitarist, who had been angry at Collins for the band’s break up. However, after learning that Collins had been poisoned using Hardigan bourbon, he directed them towards Jane Miller (Calico Looper), a deranged fan and groupie of theirs who had killed Collins so that he would be immortalized as a legend.

However, just as they believed that their case had been closed, Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) called to tell them that Jerry’s costume theory had been right. The owner of the shop that gave Collins the costume was now dead.

Meanwhile, the morgue was hit by a group of three professionals, who terrorized Max. They took the body, and stripped it of the costume, but left behind a piece of it- a diamond that had been stolen several cases ago.

Because of this, they visited Barry Burns (Jon Lovitz), the fence of the jewel thief Radomir Ivanovich. He gave them a list of possible criminals who were looking for where the diamonds had been stashed.

It turned out that Barry had lied to them as the diamonds were supposed to be smuggled out of the country by an Elvis impersonator. They then rescued him from his own Jacuzzi, as Radomir’s brother, Adrian Ivanovich (Ilia Volok) had tortured the whereabouts of his crew from him.

At the hotel, Jerry spotted the costume on Adrian. Steve managed to shoot as Adrian had taken a hostage.

As the entire group drank beer and listened to Jerry’s rendition of an Elvis classic song, Chin Ho was called up by Gabriel. He told him that he was going to help him escape from the island. He had pertinent information that affected him, that would be waiting for him at home.

As soon as Chin Ho got home, the SWAT commander handed him an envelope which contained pictures of Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale), Kono’s fiancé, meeting up with a Japanese businessman.
