As fans and viewers counting down the days to September, and towards the premiere dates of their favorite television shows, the casts and crews of each respective returning fall television show are all hard at work, trying to deliver and create new stories full of action, heart, mystery and adventure, which the upcoming season hopes to bring. One such show that is currently hard at work is the crime procedural based on a beloved show, and that is set in the beautiful and warm islands of Hawaii- “Hawaii Five-0.” WARNING: This article will contain spoilers regarding the sixth and upcoming season of CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0”. The fifth season finale of CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” ended with several interesting twists, and a heart-warming moment that fans of the series, and in particular, of Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) and Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale), as the two finally tied the knot. Also, Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) was reunited with his lady love, Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth). She returned after spending some time in Afghanistan, as she helped out a family who helped her before when she was still serving, as their son had been carted away by local insurgents.
Also, as if this wasn’t enough, Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean), Lieutenant Detective Chin Ho Kelly’s (Daniel Dae Kim) brother-in-law, and budding crime lord, on Kono’s and Adam’s wedding day, held Chin Ho at gunpoint. It was before disappearing once again, making fans and viewers wonder whether Gabriel will be the upcoming season’s main villain.
And it seems that Gabriel, according to TV Line, will indeed be seen early on in the season. The sixth season will open, aside from the case of the week, with Gabriel kidnapping the newlyweds the morning after their wonderful wedding.
Meanwhile, with regards to Steve’s relationship with Catherine, according to Entertainment Weekly, the pair will experience a major turning point in their relationship within the first episode, which will explore their characters even more.
Now, with everything, how will Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) react towards Steve and Catherine? Naturally, just as he always is, Danny will be quite concerned over his partner’s well-being, despite that Catherine had been on their team before as she had left Steve in order to go to Afghanistan.
However, the case of the week, according to TV Line, of the first episode will not disappoint. Their murder investigation leads them towards an old map that points towards a buried pirate’s treasure.
Also, it was recently learned by Entertainment Weekly that during the team’s downtime, they will be bumping into National Football League Star Jerry Rice.
