As the years and seasons go by, fans and viewers of the Hawaii-based CBS procedural, “Hawaii Five-0,” often wonder when Lieutenant Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) would settle down. These speculations, however, reached a particular high when Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth), Steve’s long time on and off again romantic partner, returned in the season finale, making fans wonder if these two will finally get together in the sixth season. However, based on a recent development, despite the fact that Catherine will be featured early in the season, it seems that she either might have a rival, or will be out of the picture, as it seems that Steve might have a new lady in the upcoming season. Also, it was hinted that Detective Danny Williams (Scott Caan) will have a very interesting and heartwarming arc, that involves a member of his family that he had just gotten to know of. WARNING: This article contains spoilers regarding Steve’s love life, and Danny’s family life in the upcoming season. Read on only to learn more about this.

Fans of CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” began to speculate whether Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) and Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) would finally get together. It was especially after Catherine suddenly appeared in the season finale, just right before Officer Kono Kalakaua’s and Adam Noshimuri’s (Ian Anthony Dale) wedding, and as Catherine will be featured in the first couple of episodes of  the sixth season.

However, things between the pair, thanks to an exclusive report on Deadline, might not be as great as everyone thinks or hopes it is. Deadline has just reported that actress Sarah Carter will be portraying a woman named Lynn, who, as it seems, will be a potential love interest of Steve’s.

According to the report, Carter’s Lynn, who will be a recurring character starting from the sixth episode of the season, an explorer, will be having an interesting “first date” with Steve on a remote island.

Of course, as this is “Hawaii Five-0,” the pair will come across a hideout of a criminal organization, which will put them in mortal peril.

With regards to Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan), TV Line recently reported that executive producer Peter Lenkov has teased a very heartwarming story line. It has to do with his newly discovered son, who is suffering from a rare disease that requires him to receive a bone marrow transplant to get better.

Last season, Danny decided to have his bone marrow tested, and this year, he will be donating bone marrow to his new little one. It will require the usually worried Danny to take some family time off in order to fulfill this.

Also, the infamous worrywart will be having a heartwarming Halloween episode, in which he and his son will spend some quality time trick or treating around the hospital halls.

Do you think Sarah Carter’s Lynn is a threat to Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett’s relationship with Catherine Rollins? Who would you prefer Steve to be with- Catherine Rollins, Ellie Clayton or Carter’s Lynn? Are you looking to a Danny arc that doesn’t involve Grace? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
