Heidi Klum Gets A Plastic Snail From Her Boyfriend

Heidi Klum persuaded her boyfriend to buy a snail and to our surprise, it was made up of plastic. Read to know why Heidi Klum wanted to buy this plastic snail.

At the 7th annual Milan amfAR auction, Heidi Klum’s boyfriend Vito Schnabel bought her a  3-meter snail made of plastic. Pleading to her boyfriend, Heidi said,”Vito, I thought you were going to buy me the snail!” (via Yahoo).

Although after few bidding the 4- year-old model won the snail made by the Europe-based Cracking Art Group for 20,000 euro ($22,000). When asked what she would do with such a gigantic snail, to which Klum  replied that she would put it in her garden.

The amfAR auction was held to collect funds for AIDS research, with the goal of finding a cure for AIDS by 2020.The collection made at the auction would be used to set up an amfAR institute to study about AIDS ,said the organization’s  chairman Kenneth Cole.

Not only Heidli but “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress, Dakota Johnson was present in the event, where introduced Blondie singer, Debbie Harry, calling her “own personal perception of cool.”

Talking about the event Harry says,”I have always supported amfAR from the very beginning. I think it is very worthwhile, they’ve had some tremendous success and the support and the feeling for it is wonderful.”

Goga Ashkenazi paid  22,000 euros for a 1970 photograph of Debbie Harry which is photographed by Mick Rock and shows Harry with teased out hair and looking up against a red background. Another donation of 75,000 euros was made by Lapo Elkann, whose family manages Ferrari.

Other celebrities present at the auction were Peter Dundas and singer Ciara.
