Heidi Montag’s Gloomy Past: ‘I Spent Years Pretending To Like Lauren Conrad For A Living’

Do you remember watching the MTV reality show ‘The Hills’ five years back? Yes, the same show featuring couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt as villains and Lauren Conrad as the good person. After all these years, finally Heidi Montag has decided to make truthful revelations on how Lauren Conrad treated them. She says that in reality they were not the villains to Lauren Conrad but she was to them. She says that the show was scripted and they got ready to act because they needed money.

In an interview with Us Magazine, Montag, 29 says, “I spent years pretending to like her for a living.” “It was literally my job to deal with her, and it wasn’t pleasant.” She says that she didn’t have anything in this world to do with Conrad’s problems. She even took effort to help her in solving her problems. She says that Conrad used to say lies about her and wanted to destroy her. Still on TV, Montag was depicted as a villain when in reality Conrad had all the traits.

Though many members of the cast in the past have let the pigeons out of the bag and said time and again that the show was scripted, but audience still carries perceptions about the cast members formed from watching the show. Montag feels people still dislike her and husband, Pratt.

Spencer Pratt, 32 in an interview to Complex Magazine, called Lauren Conrad as a “cold-hearted killer.” He even said, “She will cut you in your sleep. She tried to destroy us.”

Even though left with a feeling of being a victim of a co-star, Montag says that she doesn’t want to inflict any harm on Conrad. She just takes a sigh of relief that she does not have to be good to Conrad as their professional association has ended. She further says to US magazine that she was pretending then and people formed a wrong image of her. So, she has decided that now she would be all “honest about her.”
