AMC’s Western drama “Hell on Wheels” Season 4 has finally set its premiere date, and in that case, it will return on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 9/8c.
This marks the fourth season of the show and it includes 13 episodes that will be split up. They will air the first 10 episodes every Saturday consecutively and then the show will go on a month-long break before they return and air the last 3 episodes of the season.
“Hell on Wheels” Season 4 will focus on the development of the railroad while the people, businesses and the government all compete with one another to gain control over Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is the most important railroad station in the country.
A bit of refresher course, the third season of “Hell on Wheels” ended with Cullen Bohannon (Mount) who is now married to a pregnant Naomi. They are both living in the Mormon fort where Swede was impersonating the leader of the church, Bishop Duston. Thomas gained back his control over the Union Pacific Railroad while Elam was injured by a bear as he was searching for Cullen, who apparently is missing.
According to a statement on TV Guide by John Wirth, the series executive producer and showrunner, they can’t wait for “Hell on Wheels” Season 4.
“We’re excited about the stories we’re telling in season four. The consequences of the stories we told last year will continue to reverberate throughout the season, and fans can expect to see some shocking events that will not only change the lives of our characters, but the landscape of the series as the railroad continues its relentless march westward,” said Wirth in the TV Guide report.
There will also be a new character this season named John Campbell who will be played by actor Jake Weber.
