Hell on Wheels” Season 5 is nearing its end and its latest episode Episode 5 “Elixir of Life” the festival of Tin Hau Don brought in love, lust and betrayal to the characters of the show. Read on for more details.

Cullen is getting homesick and he wants to speed up the process in the Union Pacific. However, as much as he wants to move forward, the people who should be helping him seems to not be in a rush at all and continues to hinder him from getting the desires of his heart.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chang continues to believe that he’s above white men. Durant, on the other hand, sent people from Cheyenne, Wyoming in search for a better life. Maggie Palmer and other Irish railroad workers arrived. When Cullen tried to ask Phineas for advice, he wasn’t able to give hem any because he’s too engrossed in Gunderson and seems to be following that. Chang’s hunger for power has also made him overlook the important things.

What they don’t know is that Tao and Fong have brought together the Chinese workers as commanded by Cullen. And somehow, Cullen finds himself with a subtle attraction to Fong but of course, he’s resisting this. I wonder, will something happen between the two? Unfortunately, Chang sent a white man to get rid of a rival and Cullen’s ally. The last we saw this episode was Fong hugging Tao.

Meanwhile, Eba comes to Louise’s aid. Psalms and his other people pooled out their earnings. They bought a land in Laramie from Durant. The men were very happy with their newly-owned land but deep inside Psalms knows that this is only short-lived.

There is also the thing about Maggie and Durant who looks like they are conspiring that will definitely unfold in the upcoming episodes of “Hell on Wheels” Season 5.
