Hell’s Kitchen” Season 14 Episode 2 “17 Chefs Compete” aired on Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. The episode kicks off with the continuation from the premiere episode‘s elimination night. Read on to know how Red team reacts with Monique being saved from the chopping block.

The Red team is obviously not in favor with Monique staying in the competition. The women are expressing their distaste with Monique’s bad attitude, arrogance and ego. They cannot forget Monique’s clumsy technique in the previous episode’s Signature Dish challenge when she used processed pasta sauce.

For the team challenge, the teams must catch crabs from the ocean while riding a rowboat. They have to create 10 dishes of crab cakes.

The Blue team seems short of testosterone when some of their men cannot pick up pace. Michael (not surprising at all) contributes the most to his team’s blunders. Unexpectedly, the women win the intense challenge. The Red team’s prize is horseback riding tour in Scottsdale, Arizona while the Blue team preps for dinner service. Some men run out of temper as Cameron tries to dominate and use his authority on other chefs.

Amazingly, Cameron manages to apologize for his behavior early on. However, karma seems to work on him as he keeps on failing in the scallops station. Chef Gordon Ramsay continuously spots raw and rubbery scallops, so he takes time to show a quick demo on how to cook the seafood perfectly. Brendan comes to the rescue, but he only makes things worse as their small team keeps on serving burnt and raw scallops. With that, Chef Ramsay throws everyone out of the Blue kitchen.

Meanwhile, the Red team has some problems with teamwork in the meat station as Michelle and Allison continue on their pointless arguments about technicality. However, they successfully complete the dinner service.

In the eliminations, Chef Ramsay describes Blue team as “the most fragmented team” he has ever seen. Michael and Cameron are put on the chopping block. The so-called weakest link, Michael, has dodged the bullet as Chef Ramsay asks for Cameron to return his jacket and leave Hell’s Kitchen.
