“Man of Steel” actor Henry Cavill jumpstarted his own production company, Promethean Productions, alongside his brother Charlie Cavill and London-based producer Rex Glensy. Their first project is an action-thriller film titled “Stratton,” which will be co-produced with Amber Entertainment and GFM Films. It is based on an eight-novel series of the same name by Duncan Falconer, the author’s pseudonym.
Falconer helped the film production by using his own military background to mold the lead character.
Cacill will portray John Stratton, the main protagonist. He is an operative of the SBS who works with the Intelligence Detachment in Northern Ireland. According to Deadline, the descriptions of the character seem fit for Cavill.
Empire Online reported that the Hothouse Music will cover the film’s soundtrack. The movie is currently in the works and is already set to shoot for next spring in London, Rome and Southern Italy.
Aside from “Stratton,” Cavill will also appear on Guy Ritchie’s “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” which is set to be released on Aug. 14, 2015. Moreover, he will reprise his role as Superman on “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which will premiere on March 25, 2016.
The release date of “Stratton” has not been revealed as of this writing.
