According to Den of Geek, “Jersey Boys” star Francesca Eastwood will join “True Blood“‘s Pruitt Taylor and “The 100”’s Eve Harlow as the newly reported cast of “Heroes Reborn.” They will join the first reported set of cast members including Masi Oka, Jack Coleman, Gatlin Green and Ryan Guzman.
“Heroes Reborn” is a revival of the hit TV NBC TV series “Heroes,” which is about ordinary people who develop superpowers. The show ran for four years and ended in 2010. Tim King will produce the show and he was also the producer for “Heroes.”
A teaser was released last February and once in again during the Super Bowl. Then, Den of Geek also reported that NBC’s Entertainment President Jennifer Salke released a statement:
“The enormous impact ‘Heroes’ had on the television landscape when it first launches in 2006 was eye-opening. Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”So far, it is only Jack Coleman, an original member of the cast who would be returning for “Heroes Reborn” and will reprise his role as Noah Bennet.
