Kenny Ortega, the man behind the hit Disney film franchise “High School Musical” (HSM), premiered his new Disney Channel movie “Descendants” on Friday at Walt Disney Studios. The new movie witnessed the reunion of stars from HSM almost after 7 years since the movie hit cinema nine years ago in 2006. Read on.
According to Mirror, former HSM cast members who went to the “Descendants” premiere include Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Olesya Rulin. They attended the premiere of Kenny Ortega, who gave these guys their big break.
The moment was captured by photos posted on their Instagram accounts along with loving messages as they heaped praise on Ortega’s new film.
Tisdale even paid special tribute to Ortega in her caption.
“All of us supporting the guy that changed our lives. So proud of @kennyortegablog on his big night.” Tisdale said.
Coleman further added that he didn’t have words to describe how awesome “Descendants” is, while Grabeel is proud of Ortega.
The premiere did have two notable absentee’s, movie’s main stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Efron was promoting his movie “We Are Your Friends” while Hudgens was also busy, with a photo shoot.
