“Pirates of the Caribbean” star Johnny Depp appeared like his awfully intoxicated Captain Jack Sparrow character as he delivered a speech  at the Hollywood Film Awards 2014. Keep reading for further details.

According to Variety, Depp could hardly stand straight during his art. He also stammered throughout his speech before presenting the honor to talent manager Shep Gordon for Best Documentary.

Moreover, Depp faltered through the introduction of the longtime manager. He is the subject of  "Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon," Mike Myers’ new documentary. Gordon has worked for Blondie, Luther Vandross and Alice Cooper.

"That's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen in my life. I'm not very good at this kind of thing," the 51-year-old star continued before dropping an expletive.

Depp added, "I mean, it's one of those nights."  His speech was eventually cut off by CBC.

Meanwhile, Mike Myers called the speech “rock n’ roll" backstage.  Twitter users believed the actor’s speech was a publicity stunt. Reactions to the actor's speech came instantly after he took to the stage to present a documentary award at the HFA.

"It appears Captain Jack Sparrow found the rum. #JohnnyDepp #HollywoodAwards," commented JoAnn Ross.

"Johnny Depp is actually Jack Sparrow when he’s drunk. #HollywoodAwards,” shared a username Hello sweetie.

"Don't know if I should be worried about or embarrassed for Johnny Depp at the Hollywood Film,” shared a username Elaine L.
