The epic hot tub time-travel adventure comedy is back for laughs with their new hilarities and crazier shenanigans. Read on for further details about the story.
Christmas will be a lot crazier this year as Paramount presents the sequel to the critically acclaimed, time-travel adventure comedy film “Hot Tub Time Machine” featuring John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke. The movie is about four friends who, in twist of events, travel back through time with the use of a Jacuzzi machine. The quartet must now face past dilemmas that will test the limits of their friendship. The comedy film was a huge box office success, grossing just over $61 million and receiving positive reviews.
A red band trailer for the upcoming film was released on July 24, 2014 at the San Diego Comic-Con. The 3.5-minute NSFW trailer promises more bonding between the friends, slapstick humor and colorful and futuristic outfits.
In “Hot Tub Time Machine 2,” as reported on Deadline, four years after altering the past and successfully changing their lives, best friends Nick Webber, Lou Dorchen and his son, Jacob Dorschen (Yates from the previous film), must now once again travel through time, hot-tub style, to stop Lou’s inadvertently death. But instead of travelling to the past, they are flung 10 years into the future. The trio, joined by Yates’ (Cusack) future son, must then change the future so they can do something with the past, which is really the present.
The time travel comedy brings back actors Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke to reprise their roles from the first film. They will be joined by Adam Scott and Gillian Jacobs. Scott will take over the lead role as Adam Yates Jr., Cusack’s character’s supposedly future son. Cusack will not be making an appearance in the film due to conflicts in schedule.
“Hot Tub Time Machine 2” is directed by Steve Pink and written by Josh Heald, who also co-wrote the first film.
“Hot Tub Time Machine 2” will hit the big screens on Dec. 25, 2014. That’s it for the “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” trailer. For more news and updates about upcoming movies, visit Movie News Guide (MNG) regularly.
