“How To Train Your Dragon” franchise clears the air over the fourth part. Director Dean DeBlois laughed off the third part to be releasing in 2016. According to him, 2016 for “How To Train Your Dragon 3” is too ambitious although 2018 looks like a year! Read on.
In his interview with Collider, DeBlois shared a lot of insights in exploring another chapter of Hiccup and Toothless. He cleared that “How To Train Your Dragon” franchise will only be a trilogy that means “How To Train Your Dragon 3” is going to put an end to the Hiccup and Toothless’ story.
Although, he did not rule out the possibilities for spin-off and added, “There may be spinoffs to come, but my involvement and my dedication to completing a story that has a reason for being and a strong sense of integrity and three chapters I think is in place and intact.”
“How To Train Your Dragon 3” Plot Details:
“How To Train Your Dragon 3” is going to have the opening from Cressida Cowell’s novel series of the same name. The movie will have the backstory of dragons and will address the fact as to why they went extinct from Hiccup’s point of view, who is all grown up now.
“There were dragons when I was a boy… You’ll have to take my word for it.” Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III said in the opener.
DeBlois also opened to the possibility of working on mythology about dragons and explained that it will have a lot of Toothless. Dragon world will be explored and Drogo might again play a huge antagonist in the upcoming sequel.
“How To Train Your Dragon 3” possible got delayed because of huge lay-offs at DreamWorks Animation, reported Ecumenical News. “How To Train Your Dragon 3” will be the last film from the franchise.
