It seems like everyone’s favorite green Avenger will indeed be seen much sooner than most fans and viewers expected, but in a very unexpected fashion. Aside from this, new rumors have been surfacing that as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting more cosmic in scale, several interesting non-Earth bound beings, both friend and foe, might be getting some screen time in the upcoming “Thor: Ragnarok.” Read on to learn more about Hulk’s appearance in “Thor: Raganarok,” and as to who else fans and viewers might be seeing next in the Marvel movies to come, and just maybe, in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
A few days ago, MARVEL fans around the world began to excited when rumors began to circulate that Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk or Bruce Banner will be returning in the most unexpected way possible- an appearance in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
Just recently, Variety confirmed that Ruffalo is currently in negotiation with MARVEL Studios, and is nearing a deal to appear in the film, just as many had speculated.
If the deal pushes through, which, it seems that it will, Ruffalo will be joined by Jaimie Alexander, who will be reprising her role as Lady Sif, and by Tom Hiddleston, who will, once again, be portraying the role of the mischievous trickster and half brother to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor- Loki.
MARVEL Studios president Kevin Feige, who recently sat down to talk with Entertainment Weekly, stated that this particular movie is quite important in the MARVEL Cinematic Universe, and that the film in itself will be a “major gamechanger” for Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, the Hulk.
He also mentioned that the events of the film will begin just right after the events of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” in which Thor had a vision of Ragnarok, and Bruce decided to leave everything behind by flying off in a S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet.
Birth Movies Death also recently noted that it might just be possible that several other heroes and villains that are more cosmic in nature might be introduced as early as “Thor: Ragnarok,” especially with the upcoming films “Doctor Strange,” “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” and “Captain Marvel” in the works, which are all cosmic in scale.
According to the article, “Thor: Ragnarok” might just be the best place to introduce other Asgardian related characters, such as the Valkyrie Brunnehilde, a warrior maiden who commands an army that brings the souls of the brave into the sacred halls of Valhalla, or Asgard’s concept of heaven.
Brunnehilde, a heroine in her own right, in the comics, was also part of the Defenders, a team that also consisted of street level heroes such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, who each has a series or an upcoming series on Netflix, and a team that was also headed by Doctor Stephen Strange.
This would also be a nice setting to introduce the character called the Enchantress, whom Brunnehilde fought against in one of the stories.
What do you think about Hulk’s involvement in Ragnarok? Would like to see Brunnehilde, the Enchantress, other Asgardian heroes, as well as Angela, who has her own book in the comics as “Angela, Asgard’s Assassin?” Let us know what you think in the comments below!
