The movie that introduced the fresh face of the beloved Jennifer Lawrence —second to the last installment, “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” — has finally released the official photos and video teasers. Moreover, Lionsgate Films will release the much-awaited film in the U.S. theaters on November 21, 2014. Read on to learn more about the latest update on the “Hunger Games” franchise.
The first promo for the most anticipated sequel of the “Hunger Games” franchise was released earlier this week. The teaser was about one-minute long, featuring President Snow’s (Donald Sutherland) speech for Panem via the Capitol TV. In the speech, he talked about the unity that ought to exist between the hailed Capitol that serves as the heart and the districts of Panem as the body.
“Your hard work feeds us, and in return, we feed and protect you. But if you resist the system, you’ll starve yourself. If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed,” says Snow in the trailer.
The trailer clearly advertised the discouragement of further uprising or acts of rebellion against the Capitol and was a direct message to the movement that was triggered by Katnis Everdeen. Eeriness was clearly exuded in the teaser, with the absence of any colors, signifying the total domination of Snow. Not to mention the surprise, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) faithfully standing alongside the cold demeanor of President Snow, who was at first looking far ahead, but his look on the camera at the end was baffling, indicating the possibility that his loyalty may have swerved ever since he was separated from the tributes of the Quarter Quell.
Moreover, the production has also released advertising photos, which are more like propaganda posters, depicting their respect for the districts. Each poster was presented by so-called model citizens from their corresponding districts, showing their dedicated service for the one place that rules them all — The Capitol. Check out the photos HERE.
Although there are still no updates for the district’s symbol of rebellion, people are anxious to know what’s to come for the brave hero. Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) was last seen regaining consciousness in an escaping ship with the rest of the tributes who had planned the whole thing and was headed by Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
“Catching Fire” ended successfully in firing up its viewers for the second to the last installment of the “Hunger Games” franchise.
Has Peeta really turned for the government? What will be Katniss’ next move?
