In her farewell letter she writes, “Having spent the last decade in Panem, it’s time to move on to other lands. But before I do, I’d like to say a tremendous thank you to everyone associated with the film franchise.” She displays an immense thanksgiving by saying that the on screen adaptation of the book has done justice to it. The essence of her work has been carried out in an apt way with a never to be forgotten screen play.
Collins reveals that she is absolutely grateful to the director of the film Gray Ross together with all writers, production designers, producers and most importantly a huge fan following that has a major role to play that has lead the franchise ahead. She has always insisted on the fact that without the support of her fans nothing could have been possible.
Suzanne Collins has insisted on the fact the entire team is an essential part whose efforts have made this huge project possible. It is like a dream come true for her and her idea of making the audiences aware about what exactly the story is behind wars. According to the curator, it was not at all easier to make audience understand about what actually the theme is. She thanks all the readers and viewers who have been with “Katniss” and supported her in her journey.
Collins said that thinking about Hunger Games without Katniss is not possible. She was searching for someone good enough and Jennifer Lawrence surpassed all her expectations for the Legendary character. Indicating Lawrence, she said, “Your emotional depth, luminous presence, and sheer power carry this story and I will always be grateful to you for opening the door and allowing it to come into your life.
The film franchise has opened much wider prospects for many of them. And lastly, Suzanne Collins close the letter by quoting, “May the odds be ever in your favor!” Thankyou Collins, for giving us a beautiful warrior to be remembered forever.
