The year 2015 will be remembered for the all-time much awaited sequel from the biggest franchises. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” released a few a days’ back and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is the next in queue to come out. Indeed the two are one of the most successful franchises of all time. Read on to find out similarities and differences from the cinematic point of view of both the franchises “The Hunger Games” and “Star Wars” ahead.

According to Den Of Geek, both the franchises have an antagonist and protagonist, mainly as rebels and tyrants, a super fabulous plot and an evil empire. The franchises differ on the format and era of representation along with different set of ideas and tones.

“The Hunger Games” represents an urban combat ahead of current time and finishes off with the assassination of the evil political ideology where as “Star Wars” forms a great legacy of sci-fi genre and have garnered several stories since its inception. There appears a sense of civil war throughout the “Star Wars” series with alleged modifications in the later parts.

“The Hunger Games” brought a wonderful twist to the plot by the assassination of their own leader because of which the entire vengeance objective was zeroed. It evolved the greatness of the character of Katniss Everdeen starred by Jennifer Lawrence.

“Star Wars” is more about the triumphant winning of war and later celebration of brotherhood within the clad whereas “The Hunger Games” is about emotional tale which enlightened the war as of revenge. At the end of “The Hunger Games” series, the leading lady Katniss Everdeen standstill out of abandoned home from where it all started.

“Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens” is slated to release on December 18, 2015.
