Loving Lucy For 100 years
TV’s funniest woman Lucille Ball turns 100 on August 6, 2011 at least the red headed star would have if she was alive.
Jamestown, New York was the birth place of Lucille Ball in 1911.
She would go on to become one of the most beloved comedians of all time.
The 100th birthday of Lucille Ball also marks “I Love Lucy” being 60 years old. A gala was held to pay tribute to both on the 4th of August by Paramount Home Entertainment, CBS Home Entertainment and the Hollywood Museum. On Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday MeTV is showing one hundred episodes of “I Love Lucy” to honor the funnies woman on television.
