Miranda Cosgrove Kicked Out of Libraries

One of the perils of being a teen star is that there are mobs of kids following you wherever you go. Some can’t even study for school without being accosted by fans. Welcome to the world of iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove.

Preparing for college, Cosgrove, 17, has a private tutor and to complete her assignments, she heads off to local libraries in Los Angeles to study. Then the kids arrive…

“We’ve been told to leave about half the libraries in Los Angeles for being distracting,” says the teen starlet.

Growing up, The School of Rock actress was home schooled due to her acting ambitions. She says it isn’t all fun and games.

“At first I was kind of happy to be home schooled because all my friends were afraid of that first day of middle school,” says Cosgrove. “But actually it’s harder. You’re all alone… It’s cool in a way, but I miss being in a regular school.”

Cosgrove, who provided the voice for Margo in the animated feature Despicable Me and provided the song Raining Sunshine in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, is studying a liberal arts curriculum including French, Shakespeare and government.

She’s currently eyeing degrees at the University of Southern California and New York University.
