In a recent update is was revealed by Idris Elba who is known for his role of detective John Luther in the series “Luther” that he is one of the most famous Bond actors who has not even portrayed his role ever. The revelation can through an interview on BBC One with Chris Harvey. He also mentioned a lot about his entire journey from London Borough of Hackney to Hollywood. According to Telegraph, the actual details got leaked in 2014 in the form of small conversation between the top Sony executives on deciding the next Bond for the franchise. Though the rumors have been trending in the news since last six years but it got confirmed with the leaked information.
Amy Pascal, the chairperson of the Motion Pictures Group of Sony Pictures Entertainment mentioned affirmatively that, Elba should be the next Bond. To which the renowned screenwriter Anthony Horowitz replied to her calling Elba too street to play the iconic role as stated by Mirror.
The sensational revelation was taken up by 43 year old Elba and his fans. Elba is a very fine actor with great accolades added in his career in the form of projects like “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom”, “Pacific Rim”, “Thor: The Dark World” and many more.
On being questioned about racism Elba stated that, he is not interested to talk about discrimination and he doesn’t like to be called a black actor too. He noted that wants to move on and does not want to get stuck in the past talking about the same stuff again and again.
Idris Alba will be seen in a lot of big projects scheduled to come up next year which includes, “Finding Dory”, “Star Trek Beyond” and “Bastille Day”.
