Iggy Azalea graciously accepts Snoop Dogg’s apology by tweeting: “I appreciate the apology @SnoopDogg.”

The feud began when the older rapper Instagrammed a photo of a blonde, long-haired man with the caption “Iggy Azalea with no makeup.” Azalea, 24, hit back by calling Dogg an “ass.” The argument escalated when Dogg shot a quick video wherein he issued abusive statements to the Australian rapper.

Azalea has been involved in a spate of controversies since her nascent career took off. She has been criticized for being a racist and for her cultural appropriation of hip-hop music.

The rapper, who worked as a model in Australia before heading to Miami, was also threatened with divorce by Hefe Wine, a Houston rapper whom she lived with when she was 17. Wine also claimed to leak unreleased music that he acquired from Azalea’s laptop, along with a sex tape.

The rapper said that she has never been legally married and that Wine had a wife when they started co-habiting. However, Wine argued that they had a common law marriage, which entitles him to a divorce and therefore, to half of Azalea’s fortune.

All the criticism and controversy has done little to tarnish the rapper’s career, who leads the 2014 American Music Awards with the most nominations, including the coveted Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.

Azalea also had the most-played song of the summer, along with Charli XCX who collaborated with the rapper for “Fancy.”

The rapper topped Maxim Australia’s Hot 100 List and appears on the cover. However, Azalea criticized the magazine for using an old photo from 2011 without her consent.

“This morning I see you've allowed Maxim Australia to buy an image from a 2011 Complex mag shoot and put it on the cover. I think it's awesome anyone would want me on the cover of a magazine, but there's a right way to make that happen and the Australian label clearly aren't respecting my wishes,” said Azalea as published on Daily Mail.
