Back in 2004, when “The Incredibles” ended, the superhero family was on their way to stopping a new enemy assuming that they have embraced who they are and will continue to fight with the abilities gifted to them. Eleven years down the line, reports are suggesting that a sequel to the movie will hit the big screen in 2016 instead of the earlier reported date of 2017 or 2018. Read On!
According to Cinema Blend, IMDb, currently, has the release date of “The Incredibles 2” pegged down to November 16th 2016 and not much information is known about the movie. Status of the movie states that the movie is in early stages of production and it coincides with what director Brad Bird has been mentioning about it.
Talking about Brad Bird, the director was at the DVD launch of “Tomorrowland” and was naturally asked about “The Incredibles 2” since it happens to be one of the most anticipated superhero animated movies of all time.
What Brad shared about the movie is quite intriguing, as he stated that there were these little ideas and scenes that he had when he was making “The Incredibles” and how unfortunately he could not fit these scenes in the movie. But despite that there is a silver lining as the same little hints and clues helped him in shaping the overall direction for “The Incredibles 2.”
Christian Today also questioned the release date of “The Incredibles 2,” which has been set for a 2016 release. The media outlet added that maybe releasing the movie next year instead of 2017 or 2018 might just look like it is being rushed. But since Brad himself mentioned that the script for the movie is almost 75% complete, getting to see the movie next year could be possible.
Given the fact that Pixar has a string of releases planned in the next two to three years, “The Incredibles 2” will finally make it to the big screen after more than a decade.
