The Incredibles undoubtedly thrived in 2004, as it turned out as a box-office hit since it was released. After more than a decade, Disney finally announced that we’re going to see the “Supers” again with its upcoming sequel. The plot for the Incredibles is 75 percent done and we can’t just wait to see what’s in store for this family of superheroes who struggled to be humans.
Disney’s CEO Robert Iger and the film’s writer and director Brad Bird announced that the next “Incredibles” is officially set. It was after Bird came up with a story for the next “Incredibles.” As he promised years ago, he would only do a sequel if he could come up with a story better than the original.
With the predecessor film, Bird took inspiration from spy films he watched and comic books he had during childhood. Iger himself has old ideas from the first movie but did not get to use them. He would like to use those ideas in the sequel instead.
This makes us wonder what really happened to the Parrs after the underminer attacked. In fact, it was the appearance of a new antagonist in the movie’s ending that made people conclude about its sequel.
It’s been 10 long years, so Violet and Dash are grown-ups now. Besides, Jack-Jack is not a baby anymore and this time, we will finally know what’s behind his wide range of abilities. Do they have a new member of the family? Will the underminer attack once more? Do they still have their family stylist?
For now, we have to keep those questions all to ourselves because the movie is yet to be released in 2019. Reports claim that Samuel Jackson will still voice Lucius Best in The Incredibles 2.
