Almost two decades have passed by and now the sequel of “Independence Day” is ready to smash the box office once more. Tentatively six months to go for the “Independence Day: Resurgence” to hit the theater and 20th Century Fox just dropped the new trailer of the movie.
The trailer unveils that the much awaited movie-sequel will deal with some bigger prospect. This time the world may encounter tougher threat from the outsiders of the space. Instead of new story details, the trailer spends most of its two-minute runtime reintroducing returning faces and explaining to audiences what has been happening on Earth since aliens first invaded twenty years back. The franchise has a keen idea of the changing expectation over the 20 years and surely the full trailer of the installment of the late 90’s movie meets up the desire. Have a look and you certainly cannot get over it.
“Independence Day” was one of the massive hit 20th Century Fox that sets the bar for a new phase in Hollywood blockbuster action and CGI special effects. Released in 1996 the film deals with a combat against the aliens who proceeded to consuming Earth’s resources. This time we witness some new twists in “Independence Day 2” as the threat is more brutal and predicting a newer slaughter from the aliens Human scientists have retrofitted Earth weapons with alien technology. So the battle will be sturdier than previous.
The directorial venture of Roland Emmerich comprised a line of great names and mainly similar of it first installment. The characters like David Levinson, Thomas J. Whitmore, Patricia Whitmore, Julius Levinson and Jasmine Dubrow-Hiller are all back. Only Maika Monroe will be seen portraying Whitmore.
The venture of 3rd July of 1996 will almost be similar but you can miss Will Smith, who will not be in “Independence Day: Resurgence”. This time they’re joined by Liam Hemsworth when the aliens return with a bigger force (and bigger special FX) than the last time.
It is now a few months of wait to witness how the invasion of the aliens can be guarded to protect the earth. “Independence Day: Resurgence” opens in theaters on June 24, 2016.
