An all new Indiana Jones is all set to make it to the big screen. Rumours had been doing rounds for the fifth instalment of the legendary Indiana Jones for more than a while now. It has been officially confirmed now that a sequel to the Indiana Jones franchisee is possible by Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy.
In an interview with Vanity Fair for their Star Wars June cover story, Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy has talked about their acquisition of Disney in 2012 and that Indiana Jones franchisee is a ‘big prize’ of the whole deal.
Kathleen Kennedy was executive producer for all four previous instalments of director Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones films. So, it’s not ever that a fifth sequel to see Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones (Jr.) is just going to remain a dream but Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones will be missed.
Reportedly, in the new instalment Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt can be seen as Indiana Jones. He has been one topping the list for the role, currently he is playing role of Owen Grady in movie Jurassic World.
According to Kathleen Kennedy, “will one day be made inside this company.” Although, she made it a point to inform readers that it is not going to happen anytime near the future but still it comes off as huge gift for fans of adventurous archaeologist Dr. Henry Indiana Jones Jr.
The whole focus is right now at the script and having a director in place. The last film from the franchisee Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out in 2008, had received mixed reactions from the audiences. But, the film grossed at box office with $786 million ticket sale worldwide.
Though there’s much wait, but be geared up for Indiana Jones next dig, you never know when the awaited sequel will amaze again at the big screens.
