We have lost a lot from the original cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” such as Cristina Yang, Mark Sloan and the most recent and shocking Derek Shepherd. If Shonda Rhimes keep on moving towards this direction, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if in the end we will be watching new cast members and no more show originals left!

Where am I going with this? Well, what about Katherine Heigl reprising her role as Izzie again? That would be great, right? In fact, fans actually want her back!

Just recently, Heigl tried her luck once again on the small screen when she starred in “State of Affairs,” where she played the role of a CIA analyst. Unfortunately, the show got cancelled after one season and she expressed that she’s looking for a new home. Isn’t “Grey’s Anatomy” the “home” for her?

In fact, 3 years ago she was open to the idea and told TVLine that she would definite consider returning to the show and even explained, “If they wany me to return for an arc, I would love to know where Izzie is now. it’s been a couple of years. I really hope she’s succeeding somewhere.”

To refresh your memory, Izzie disappeared but she didn’t die (but she has cancer when she left). We don’t know where she went. So it will be a great arc for her character if Rhimes decides to take her in for the second time. And whatever rift they had back then hopefully gets resolved soon.

Fans are indeed pining for the return of Izzie on “Grey’s Anatomy.” What do you think? Would you like her back on the show? Let us know by posting your comments below!
