Jack Black Compares ‘The Walking Dead’ With Soap Opera

Jack Black of “Gulliver’s Travels” and “Goosebumps” fame, who follow AMC’s “The Walking Dead” regularly together with his wife Tanya Haden, has something to add-on about the program which is based on zombies. Recently, the voice of Po in “Kung Fu Panda’s” said that the original plot was really good, but now the program has lost newness and running just for the sake of making money as a soap opera.

“Zombies are creepy. And so slow. How scared can you be? I love that show. It’s really a soap opera that me and my lady have become addicted to. It’s become such a soap opera.  And it’s just a moneygrab. There’s no arc. It’s sort of heading to this conclusion,” Black told USA Today.

The actor also said that the show started to suffer after creator Frank Darabont’s dismissal as in his presence it was like a “work of art.”

Black, who believes “Slappy the Dummy” as the scariest character of his movie “Goosebumps,” called the AMC’s show a masterpiece and talked about the uniqueness of it at the time of Darabont but now that uniqueness has gone and we nobody can’t help it. The reason behind the show still going on is the strong start which has been given to it by Darabont’s classy approach.

Well, the views presented by Black related to “The Walking Dead” show are his own and as a talented person he can understand the small things very easily. As far as the current situation of the show is concerned it is running quite well and many fans are crazily associated with the zombie show.
