Actor James Franco made a confession that is increasingly popular with celebrities while on “Conan” Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The actor, who is starring in the recently released “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” admitted to the talk show host that he and a girlfriend had recorded themselves in an X-rated way several years ago.
Franco said he and the girlfriend, who he did not name, were feeling frisky one night and grabbed a video camera to document their activities. Afterward, Franco said they watched the tape and were so turned off they decided never to watch it again. He told Conan that the difference between his sex tape and professional pornographic movies is that the actors in movies are playing for an audience, while regular people are “just doing it” for their own satisfaction.
The MTV network, however, has taken issue with Franco’s admission. It seems as though, in 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival, an interviewer from the network spoke to Franco and posed the question of whether or not he had filmed himself in the act, as so many other Hollywood actors have done. In response, Franco promised MTV that some parts of his life were never and would never be documented, including his sex life.
