“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn gets emotional as the film’s scheduled release date on August 1, 2014 draws near. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“I swear I’ve gotten angry with filmmakers like Ridley Scott and George Lucas who can’t let go of their old films and want to keep going back and offering up different versions, but I can easily see myself doing that now. This is essentially my last week of actually making ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ It’s been two years straight and I’ve starting to become terrified of actually having to STOP. But on July 7 I leave for Singapore to begin the press tour so I suppose I really have no choice,” posted Gunn on his Facebook page on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
According to James Gunn in the same post, filming for “Guardians of the Galaxy” was just about finished. Only a few minor details like sound mix, digital intermediate and 3D are left undone. Even so, Gunn felt that he could do more to make it a better film than it already is. He also stated that Marvel Studios may find it hard to pull him away from the film.
He also went on to share his sadness over having to part ways with the people he worked with during the past two years, saying he will miss them. He even confessed that he was teary-eyed even as he was typing.
