Everyone was waiting to hear the official confirmation of Statham being casted for the role of Bullseye in season 2 of “Daredevil.” Unfortunately, the rumours just got slammed by Statham himself. On his movie tour for “Spy,” Screen Rush repored that he went on and on about Marvel movie’s action sequences and said that even his grandma could do those comic action roles.
Statham who played splendid bad guy role for “Furious 7” became obvious choice for the role of Bullseye in the minds of fans as and when the rumours surfaced. Also, there had been strong rumours circulating that Statham had went to Marvel Studios to talk about being a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) via being a part of “Daredevil” for its season 2.
According to Comic Book Movie, Statham said that stunt doubles, $200 million budget, green screen and CGI technics don’t leave authencity and he wants to be part of something original.
“I could take my grandma, put her in a cape, put her on a green screen and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action.” Statham said.
As far as season 2 of “Daredevil” is concerned, it is set to release in 2016. Casting for the show sees Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio would portray Wilson Fisk, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Claire Temple and Jon Bernthal will play the Punisher.
