The 25-year-old Lawrence has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that she would be directing “Project Delirium.” She disclosed, “It’s based on this article about mental warfare in the ’60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong.”
While talking in the interview, Lawrence took a walk back to her teenage days. She said that she dreamed of directing from the days when she was only 16. She said that at that tender age she thought of accomplishing her dream. But now she feels ready to take steps towards that dream of directing.
Lawrence’s plans to make it into direction have been known to many. In 2014, after winning the Golden Globes, she had said, “My passion for directing happened at the same time it did for acting on my first movie.” She made the above statement backstage and also added, “So I would love to direct – but I don’t want to suck.”
In the interview, the “Silver Linings Playbook” star said that she would love to direct a comedy in near future too. Jennifer Lawrence said that she has not chosen to talk about her desire to direct because she wanted to do it rather than discuss it with others.
