Although Jennifer Lawrence might have slayed many opponents in the ‘Hunger Games’, but off the set Lawrence is a peaceful soul who is concerned about women bashing on other women.
“I think that we are just so unsupportive. When I watch these shows and the media and I watch the women on these televisions shows pointing to these women and judging them and calling them ugly and calling them fat,” said Jennifer.
One can expect this humble/supportive attitude from Lawrence as she has already been pretty vocal and straight forwards about her opinions on Hollywood body obsession.
The actress relates these events to her movie ‘The Hunger Games’ and compares events of the movie to real life as how they are not so different, except the fact that there isn’t a case of risking one’s life (in the literal sense).
Obviously in ‘The Hunger Games’ the stakes are much, much higher and you’re talking about life or death there, and here not so much, but yeah there’s definitely a parallel,” she continued.
She continued on to state that she tries really hard to live outside the illusion of Hollywood and tries to avoid the viciousness of it.
Apart from that, the sequel to the Hunger Games is coming out soon, later on in this month, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is set to hit theatres this November 22nd 2013.
