After overcoming all the apprehensions about whether or not to publish the book, Lopez finally decided to connect with readers and published "True Love." The focus of “True Love” is the transformative two-year period during which she endured her greatest challenges as a singer and as a mother, discovered her biggest qualms and changed as a stronger person. “True Love” is a candid and enlightening autobiography with profound lessons and deepest reminiscences. It is an empowering narrative of self-reliance, rediscovery and buoyancy.
Jennifer Lopez, 45, has had a larger-than-life career in Hollywood. She had two adorable kids. But the truth is not so beautifu. Lopez revealed in the book that she’s spent the major part of her adult life in search of the kind of soul mate who makes her feel complete. She shared the news on social media.

With the release of her first book, she opens up about the pain she felt during each of her chaotic relationships, from her notorious unsuccessful engagement to Ben Affleck to the downfall of her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony.
Jennifer confesses that she thought the only therapy for her heartache was when she and Affleck split just days before their wedding to find love again.
“It felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest,” wrote Jennifer in the book. Three days after the split, she found that love in Marc Anthony, an old pal, and they were wedded five months later.
“Writing ‘True Love’ has been a deeply cathartic, personal, and vulnerable experience. If it were not for the love and courage given to me by my children this story would not have been possible,” Lopez said.
After three marriages and flourishing career, Lopez now has a new way of looking at life and relationships.
“I’m already thinking of myself in a different way … when I meet someone that I’m attracted to or have chemistry with, I’m going to take my time and make sure that it’s the right person. That they’re whole too. I’m making sure I’m whole first. Then together we can add to each others’ happiness,” explained Lopez in an interview with Hollywoodlife.com.
It was that self-realization of highest order that would instigate her to write this memoir.
“What was loving yourself, anyway?” wrote Lopez. “But now I’ve discovered that it’s the key to life — because it’s the key to loving someone else and allowing others to love you.”
All of these interesting and inspiring phrases are just the tip of the iceberg. Lopez has much more to tell you about love and life. Meanwhile, a percentage of the sales proceeds will go to The Lopez Family Foundation, which works on improving the health and well-being of women and children. “True Love” will go on sale at the same time in both Spanish and English editions.
