According to Comicbook.com, Abrams took to Twitter his announcement for the teaser trailer of the upcoming “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” pic.
Moreover, the much-awaited trailer will be shown on Thanksgiving and will run from Nov. 28-30, 2014 at selected locations. You can check out the entire list HERE, which was posted on Comicbook.com.
The upcoming “Star Wars” film is directed, written and produced by J. J. Abrams. He is joined by fellow "Star Wars" writer Lawrence Kasdan, the man who also co-wrote " The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" from a story by George Lucas. It is co-produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Bryan Burk. It is produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions, to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
"Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" is set approximately 30 years after the events of the previous film, “Return of the Jedi.” The plot revolves around a trio of new young leads, along with the characters from the previous installments. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker will reprise their roles from the classic trilogy as Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, C3PO, Chewbacca and R2-D2 respectively.
The ensemble will also feature the new cast including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Chong, Lupita Nyong’o, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Miltos Yerolemou, Greg Grunberg and Warwick Davis.
Second unit filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland, with principal photography taking place between May and November 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, UK.
“Star Wars Episode VII” is set on the course for a Dec. 18, 2015 release date.
