The CW and DC superhero universe has gotten a little bit bigger ever since “The Flash” entered, allowing more opportunities for more superheroes and more stories to be told, alongside the characters of “Arrow.” Now, thanks to this, more superheroes and supervillains will be encountered, thanks to a third superhero show, which will be airing next year, entitled “Legends of Tomorrow.” However, fans of the DC and CW universe are hoping that this show will provide a safe haven for Matt Ryan’s John Constantine, a now beloved character whose own show got cancelled earlier on, especially now that word is going around that this might just happen. Read on to learn more about this story.
Today, superhero shows are no longer just a thing of novelty, but has become a norm, to the point that most major networks in America have a superhero show to call their own.
However, unlike the success of ABC, Netflix and the CW, superhero shows on networks such as NBC haven’t fared that well, as seen in the cancellation of “Constantine” earlier this year, a television adaptation of the story of DC’s John Constantine, portrayed by Matt Ryan.
Much to the surprise of fans of the show, and of the character, Constantine managed to show up recently in an episode of the CW’s “Arrow,” which, according to Screen Rant, allowed him to become part of the shared universe of “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.”
Now, fans are hoping that this might mean some good news for John Constantine, as Bleeding Cool has just reported that, according to a source, John Constantine might just show up in “Legends of Tomorrow.”
According to Screen Rant and Bleeding Cool, the rumor states that the main line up of the “Legends of Tomorrow” team might just change in subsequent episodes or seasons, thus allowing Constantine to join the roster.
This is a welcome news to fans of the character and the actor, especially after his appearance in “Arrow,” which was well received.
