John Mayer previously dissed his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift during an interview on “The Late Late Show.” This time, Mayer had nothing but good words for Swift. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

According to an article on GossipCop.com, “Let bygones be bygones” is a famous line and it looks like Mayer is ready to bury the hatchet with former flame.

In an interview, Mayer told MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow about the “Blank Space” singer’s praise-worthy actions by speaking up for other artists. Farrow brings up Swift during his interview with Mayer.

“We have to be able to talk about Taylor Swift professionally,” Mayer answers as posted by GossipCop.com.

When asked about the “Style” singer’s decision to pull out her songs from streaming site Spotify, Mayer tells him, “I think that’s cool. I think that’s really cool. Artists need the person with the loudest voice for them.”

Mayer added that the cynical might say that Swift is also doing that for herself, but he insisted that Swift is also doing it for other artists. He mentioned that “only two percent of the music industry has eighty percent of all the media coverage,” which is why it’s nice to have one of them speak up on behalf of the other artists.

“The only reason we’re talking about Taylor Swift taking Spotify on is because she’s Taylor Swift, and that’s great,” he admits.

Mayer also revealed that he’s no longer bothered that Swift and other artists are taking the public’s attention.

“Nothing bothers me anymore… There are going to be times when I make music as popular or… [songs] that won’t sell as many copies. I’m fine with that,” Mayer says.

He mentions Kanye West. He said that “if the two of them save babies from a burning building, he knows that West would have more Google News hits than he would,” but he’s fine with that.

As for people who are wondering if he still has anything against the “Shake it Off” singer for allegedly writing the song “Dear John” for him, Mayer said, “Look, I can say the name Taylor Swift… Nobody’s got an incurable cancer. We’re rich people who get to live out our dreams. Let’s just stop it.”
