A new character will be dancing and singing his way to “Galavant.” Read on to know the full details on who’s joining ABC’s new musical TV show.
John Stamos (“Full House”) is coming to our TV screens once again. According to Variety, ABC has just announced Stamos as one of the new characters on their midseason musical. However, he is not a series regular but a star on the show. Stamos will play as a rival to the show’s knight (Joshua Sasse). He starts filming his episode in September 2014 in England.
“We are absolutely thrilled that John Stamos is joining us on the series as ‘Galavant’s’ longtime rival – a dashing knight who squares off against him once more in a local joust. We’ve wanted John to do an arc on this show since inception,” said “Galavant” executive producer Dan Fogelman in the Variety article.
There is still a chance for his character to recur throughout the show as Stamos is well-experienced in the musical field, and he is certainly well known, as he has appeared on several TV shows and Broadway musicals.
We’ve seen Stamos in “Full House” for his famous role as Jesse Katsopolis from 1987 to 1995. He starred in the ABC sitcom series alongside Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. His latest TV appearances include roles in “The New Normal,” “Necessary Roughness” and “Losing It with John Stamos” in 2013.
On the other hand, he still tours with his band “The Beach Boys.” He has also experienced performing on Broadway musicals such as “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Nine,” “Cabaret” and “The Best Man,” which makes him the perfect addition to the musical TV show coming our way this fall.
