There is only a few more days before John Wick: Chapter 2 opens in cinemas worldwide. Keanu Reeves returns as the titular retired assassin in the anticipated sequel to the 2014 hit action movie. It also stars Laurence Fishburne and Ruby Rose of Orange is the New Black fame. She talked about what it is like to exchange bullets with the Hollywood legend.

The New Star Assassin

Rose plays the role of Ares in Chapter. The new character is briefly seen carrying a gun, sitting inside the car and shooting at John Wick. Viewers will see her in action on Feb. 10 when the movie opens in theaters worldwide.

There is no hand-to-hand combat between the characters of Reeves and Rose in the trailer. But, expect some heart-pumping fight scenes between the two. In an interview with Yahoo, Rose recounted her experience with filming alongside Neo himself. “I got a little elbow from Keanu,” the actress stated. “He was flipping me over his shoulder and he put the elbow out. But I loved it.”

She also revealed that Reeves is actually quite the opposite of his character John Wick. While the assassin will not think twice about killing his enemies, The Matrix actor is more gentle. “He wouldn’t hurt a fly,” Rose quipped. Every time they have to do a fight scene together, the 52-year-old always had to ask if his co-star is okay.

Meanwhile, Common is not so sure about Reeves being a gentle guy. The rapper received bruises from sparring with the award-winning action star. “He’s a good human being, but when we were fighting, man, he was intense,'” he recalled.
