Johnny Depp is visiting the sick and the unhealthy again. He was recently in the news for visiting sick children at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Now, he was seen at the Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Center helping the staff there feed orphaned bats. Read on.
According to Us Weekly, Depp is doing some good work on the side while filming the next installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise.
The upcoming film is being shot in Australia and Depp is doing philanthropy and looking out for animal welfare when he is not busy shooting for the film. The celebrated actor was last seen at a children’s hospital in full Jack Sparrow outfit entertaining kids who had troublesome diseases.
Now, NY Daily News reported that he was at the Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Center helping the staff feed an orphaned baby bat. On the other hand, the animal clinic was quick to post the video of Depp feeding a baby bat while he holds him carefully in his arms.
Depp’s many real and fake tattoos on his arms were clearly visible while he was feeding the baby bat. The clip also recorded Depp speaking tenderly to the baby bat while he was feeding him milk with a bottle.
“Here is a video of Dad bottle feeding his little-orphaned baby,” the caption accompanying the video declares to the readers.
“It’s so fantastic to see him showing a genuine interest, and helping us raise awareness for bats!” The staff members at the Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Center told the press.
Nobody can forget the moment when Depp tenderly tells the bat, ““There’s a little bit more in there, sweetheart.” As he gently coaxes the baby bat to suck the last bit of milk in the bottle. The moment was made even more memorable because he was in full Jack Sparrow attire as he didn’t have the time to change the long shooting schedule.
