Johnny Depp turned 52 on Tuesday, 9 June. The actor spent his birthday on the job, dressed as pirate trickster Captain Jack Sparrow, filming scenes for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star John Christopher Depp II, born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, always looks too hot for his age. The fact that he recently became the new face of Dior fragrances is a clean proof that he has the aura even at this age.
The actor spent at least part of his 52nd birthday dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow and in filming scenes for the coming fifth chapter of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise in Australia.
Gold Coast Bulletin reports that the actor “paused long enough to wave to a TV news chopper,” while filming for “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise on the day.
“My favorite way to eat anything is fried,” and “I’m a big advocate of fast food,” said the actor during an interview.
Last year, we would have seen Depp in the news constantly as lot of rumors revolved around both his personal as well as professional life. Last year was quite hectic for the actor – “Having met with a major accident, shooting for “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”, divorce rumors with wife Amber Heard, dog scandal in Australia and the possibility of facing jail sentence,” reports International Business Times.
Though the past year was not quite memorable, the actor can always be proud of his iconic roles he has done over the years. The actor has played some of the most eccentric characters in the film history – Willy Wonka in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” Mad Hatter in “Alice in Wonderland,” Edward Scissorhands in “Edward Scissorhands,” Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Carribean” franchise, Ed Wood in “Ed Wood,” Donnie Brasco in “Donnie Brasco,” Gilbert Grape in “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” and Sir James Matthew Barrie in “Finding Neverland.”
It would not be the first time that Johnny Depp, one of the most versatile and fearless actors in the industry, has spent his birthday on the job.
