The live-action movie “The Jungle Book” is actually the remake of the animated film of the same name that was released in 1967. Considering the great successes of Walt Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland,” “Maleficent” and “Cinderella,” there is no surprise that “The Jungle Book” would be big hit, reported Jon Negroni.
The first teaser trailer of the upcoming film reveals that the remake movie has something unique and new when compared to the original story that could attract even if you are not interested in “The Jungle Book” franchise. This upcoming remake has included something new that you would not have seen in the book as well as the animated movie. Especially, with respect to the fight between Bagheera, Shere Khan, and Baloo, you could expect something unique in this movie. The updated special effects used in this upcoming American 3D comedy-adventure fantasy film give life to the animal characters on the big screen.
Disney’s 1994 live-action remake of this movie was criticized for being far away from Kipling’s original stories, even though it was well received by audiences. The remake film combined the stories from both “The Jungle Book” animated film and “The Second Jungle Book” by Rudyard Kipling.
Talon Marks suggests some reasons why the upcoming “The Jungle Book” film would be a success. First, the animated film of the franchise has many fans. Hence, obviously many people who are the fans of the franchise would love to watch the film.
The second reason is that the film uses popular cast names. The cast members of this film have been in popular films such as “Ghostbusters,” “The Avengers,” and “Schindler’s List.”
The last reason is that Disney keeps the story fresh and surprising for the audience by making certain adaptations to the original story. In the trailer, we could see that the female character Johansson would play the snake in this upcoming live action film, while it is a male in the animated film. Thus, the gender of the snake has been changed for a more suspenseful story.
